Step 1: Turn Off the Water Supply
Locate the shutoff valve under the sink or behind the dishwasher and turn it off — regardless of whether the leak is real or the switch triggered falsely.
Step 2: Look for Standing Water
If safe to do so, gently check underneath and around the base for visible water. Don’t tilt or move the unit aggressively.
Step 3: Don’t Run Another Cycle
Don’t restart the cycle to see if it clears on its own. If there’s an active leak, running it again risks real water damage.
