The SMW272 is a legacy 27-inch Thermador combination unit combining an oven, a 1,100-watt microwave, and a warming drawer in one modular built-in. Because Thermador designed this platform with modular construction specifically to ease servicing, a problem in one section (microwave, oven, or warming drawer) is generally diagnosed and repaired independently of the others.
As a legacy model, current documentation for numbered error codes doesn’t cover this platform directly, so diagnosis relies on directly testing the affected section’s heating element, magnetron, or control board rather than a published code lookup.
