Thermador Range

Thermador PRD364WIGU

Model # PRD364WIGU

The PRD364WIGU swaps the griddle found on the PRD364WDGU for a Liberty® Induction Module – two induction zones with HeatShift® technology – while keeping the same four open gas burners and 5.7 cu ft electric oven. That mix means a single range with three distinct heating technologies to diagnose: open gas burners, sealed induction zones, and an electric oven, each on its own circuit and its own failure modes.

The added induction module draws enough power that this model is wired for 50A rather than the 30A used by the griddle version, which is worth confirming during any electrical troubleshooting – a breaker sized for the griddle model won’t necessarily hold this one. If a gas burner won’t light and there’s any smell of gas, shutting off the gas supply to the range comes first, before touching the induction side or anything else.

FAQ

Thermador PRD364WIGU FAQ

The Liberty Induction Module adds significant electrical draw on top of the electric oven, so Thermador specifies a higher-amperage circuit for the induction configuration than for the griddle configuration.

Not necessarily. The two zones use HeatShift technology to share heat but can still fail independently, so a single dead zone points toward that zone's own sensor coil rather than the whole induction module.
