Thermador Range

Thermador PRD486WIGU

Model # PRD486WIGU

The PRD486WIGU is the induction variant of Thermador’s 48” dual-fuel Pro Grand® range – two open gas burners plus a Liberty® Induction Module with two zones, over the same dual electric oven layout (3 cu ft primary, 1.3 cu ft secondary on the left) found on the griddle version, the PRD486WDGU. That gives the range three separate heating technologies – open gas burners, sealed induction, and two electric ovens – each diagnosed independently.

Because the two ovens run separate Self Clean cycles and separate control zones, a complaint about uneven cooking or a stalled self-clean needs to specify which cavity before further diagnosis. If a gas burner won’t light and there’s any smell of gas, shutting off the gas supply to the range comes first, before touching the induction module or either oven.

FAQ

Thermador PRD486WIGU FAQ

Both are 48'' dual-fuel ranges with two gas burners and the same dual-oven layout, but the WIGU replaces the WDGU's non-stick griddle with a Liberty Induction Module offering two induction cooking zones.

No - the ovens and the induction cooktop are separate systems on this range. An oven self-clean issue is specific to that oven's door lock, temperature sensor, or control logic, unrelated to the induction zones.
