Thermador Cooktop

Thermador SGSX365TS

Model # SGSX365TS

The SGSX365TS is the 36-inch ExtraLow gas cooktop in Thermador’s Masterpiece line, combining a 16,000 BTU center burner with 2 dedicated ExtraLow simmer burners for a 58,200 BTU total on natural gas. All burners are sealed to the cooktop surface, and every burner uses Thermador’s Star Burner shape for wide, even flame coverage.

As with the 30-inch SGSX, repair issues on this model concentrate on the mechanical side: igniter fouling, a burner cap that isn’t seated correctly, or an ExtraLow knob/valve that’s worn enough to lose its low simmer setting – rather than anything requiring electronic diagnostics.

Key Features

  • 36-inch, 5-burner sealed gas cooktop with ExtraLow simmer burners
  • 58,200 total BTU on natural gas / 45,200 BTU on LP
  • 16,000 BTU center burner
  • 2 ExtraLow burners with push-in-to-turn simmer knobs
  • Automatic reignition if a burner flame blows out

Most Common Issues on This Model

01

If you smell gas, shut off the gas supply at the shutoff valve first before servicing any burner.

02

A weak or inconsistent ExtraLow simmer is typically a worn valve stem or dirty knob detent on that burner, not a gas-pressure issue.

03

Persistent clicking from one igniter after release usually means a stuck or wet spark electrode near that burner.

FAQ

Thermador SGSX365TS FAQ

No - burners with the XLO feature require electronic control and cannot be lit manually during a power failure; only the standard (non-XLO) burners can be lit by hand in that situation.

Check that the burner cap is correctly seated on its base and that the ports aren't blocked with food debris before assuming an air-shutter adjustment is needed.
