The SGSXP365TS is a 36-inch sealed-burner gas cooktop with 5 pedestal Star burners, including a center power burner and 2 ExtraLow Select simmer burners for a combined 60,200 BTU output. Like Thermador’s other gas cooktops, it uses mechanical knob controls rather than touch electronics, so most service calls trace back to a worn igniter, clogged burner port, or gas-valve issue rather than an electronic error code.
The lit ring around each control knob is a safety feature confirming burner status — if it stops working, we check that separately from the burner’s actual ignition function, since the two can fail independently.
