- Faulty relay board keeping a heating element energized longer than commanded
- Failed or drifting temperature sensor (RTD)
- Control board failing to cut power to the elements correctly

Let the oven cool fully and power-cycle at the breaker — if F2 recurs on the next heating attempt, treat it as confirmed and stop use until inspected.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- This code means the oven genuinely overheated — opening the unit before it's fully cooled and de-energized risks a burn.
- A relay stuck in the "on" position can still be live even with the oven display off; testing it without isolating power at the breaker is a real shock risk.
- Misdiagnosing a relay fault as a sensor fault (or the reverse) means paying for the wrong part while the overheating risk remains.
- A relay board reseated incorrectly can fail to fully cut power on the next cycle, repeating the same over-temperature event.
- Because this is a genuine safety fault, we recommend against repeated at-home reset attempts — each reset is another chance for the oven to overheat again before the real cause is fixed.
