Thermador Dishwasher

Thermador DWHD640EFM (Masterpiece® Collection)

Model # DWHD640EFM

The DWHD640EFM is the Masterpiece® Collection version of Thermador’s Emerald-spec 24-inch dishwasher — same 16-place-setting capacity and 48 dBA rating as the Professional-handle DWHD640EFP, but built with a fixed stainless bar handle rather than a swap-in handle, and no built-in water softener. It uses condensation drying rather than a Zeolite-based system, so drying-related error codes on this unit point to the standard heat-pump/condensation path rather than a separate drying chamber.

Because it shares its core wash and drain electronics with the rest of Thermador’s built-under Radiance-era lineup, we read the exact error code on the display first — drainage and water-inflow codes are the most common calls on this tier, and any E15 base-water code is treated as a reason to shut off the water supply immediately before further diagnosis.

FAQ

Thermador DWHD640EFM (Masterpiece® Collection) FAQ

No — the handle style is a cosmetic/hardware difference; the wash, drain, and control electronics underneath are the same.

It can, in hard-water areas, since there's no built-in softening step before the wash — periodic descaling maintenance is worth keeping up with on this model.
