What E3200 Means
The machine started filling and never reached the level it wanted. Thermador names three separate causes for the split form E:32-00 in the owner manual — a closed supply valve, a kinked or blocked inlet hose, and a valve that has jammed or silted up — and specifies that an open supply should deliver at least ten liters a minute.
Common Causes of E3200
- A supply valve only partly open, or one that has seized part-way after years untouched
- An inlet hose kinked behind the cabinet or pinched by the machine when it was last pushed back
- A silted-up or jammed supply valve on an older installation
- Household flow that simply does not reach the ten liters a minute the manual asks for
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Open the supply valve fully, then look at the inlet hose along its whole run for a kink or a crush point. On some models the problem clears by ending the current cycle and starting a fresh one once the water is flowing again.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A valve that will not turn should not be forced; a seized angle stop snapping off under the counter is a plumbing emergency, not a repair.
- If the flow rate is genuinely short, the fix is upstream of the appliance and a plumber is the right call rather than a dishwasher technician.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
