What E3000 Means
Thermador’s published description for E3000 is a flow meter failure, or something wrong in the path water takes on its way in. The flow meter is a small impeller the control counts to know how much water has actually arrived. Worth knowing: the current owner manual describes the split form of this number, E:30-00, as the leak protection system tripping instead, so if your machine also shut its own supply down, treat the leak reading as the live one.
Common Causes of E3000
- A flow meter that has stopped counting, or counts wrongly
- A restricted or partly closed supply valve at the wall
- An inlet hose kinked behind or under the machine
- A filling system part the control cannot confirm has operated
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Follow the water in: supply valve fully open, inlet hose free of kinks behind the machine, no crush where the hose passes the cabinet cut-out. Do not pull the machine out on a hard floor without protecting it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The flow meter sits inside the inlet assembly at the base of the machine, behind the toe panel and the water connection.
- Because Thermador’s own two documents read this number differently, guessing at a part before the problem is confirmed on site is how the wrong part gets ordered.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
