What Sabbath Mode Means
A setting, not a failure. Thermador's column and French-door guides say Sabbath mode switches off non-essential functions: the ice maker, acoustic signals, interior light and display messages, plus Super cooling and Super freezing on French-door models. It ends automatically when the chosen time runs out.
Common Causes of Sabbath Mode
- Sabbath mode set for a holiday and a long duration chosen
- Mode switched on unintentionally in settings
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
End Sabbath mode from the basic settings before troubleshooting "no light", "no ice" or "no alarm" complaints.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If lights, ice or alarms still do not work after the mode is off, the problem is in that part, and a technician should test it.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
